Hello! I'm Joshua, a newer member to the LFC, and one of my ongoing projects is this Pierce Arrow XT tandem axle TDA operated by the Columbus Fire Department as Ladder 24. I'm building this rig for a relative of mine who serves CFD as a Captain, and is currently assigned as the officer of this company.
Currently I am tweaking the digital version, adding as many details as I can think of (lmk if you think of anything else to add haha) and ensuring that it will be strong when built IRL. The aerial is currently a mock-up and is not yet attached to the rig, because I'm planning on figuring that it IRL mostly. Once I'm happy with the design, I'll start ordering parts and building in real bricks. Then finally, I'll have to do my best to replicate the numbering and decals on the real rig (although I don't believe you'll find any photos of the rig from a google search, you might find a pic of its twin, Ladder 14. The photos I'm using to build my replica I found in a FlickR post). Also, because I still use the outdated LDD, there are some details I can't add digitally.
